Marriage, in theory, is an institution of high regard. Finding love and bonding with that special someone to continue the circle of life for the rest of your life. Time softens everything, including love and mutual respect, among many others. When I reflect upon the commitment (marriage), it is a misleading form of slavery brought about by the belief that it is an ownership contract between two people. Does the heart of a woman lead her susceptible to abuse (mental or otherwise)? Does the willingness of the man to love leave him susceptible to abuse? In both cases, love enables others to treat you poorly, disrespect you, and take your for granted, but not leave you. I don’t understand.

How can someone spend so many years with you and disregard you so easily? This is the next question for The Commitment Part 2.
